Rama
According to Hindu Mythology
Rama(;
Sanskrit: राम
Rāma) is the
seventh avatar of the Hindu god
Vishnu and a king of
Ayodhya. Rama is also the protagonist of the
Hindu epic Ramayana, which narrates his idealistic ideas and his greatness. Rama is one of the many popular figures and deities in
Hinduism, specifically
Vaishnavism and Vaishnava religious scriptures in
South Asia and
Southeast Asia. Along with
Krishna, Rama is considered to be one of the most important avatars of Vishnu. In a few Rama-centric sects, he is considered the Supreme Being, rather than an avatar.
Rama (disambiguation)
Rama may refer to:
Within the scriptures of India
- Rama, the legendary Indian king regarded as an incarnation of Vishnu
- Parasurama, 'Rama with the axe', a partial incarnation of Vishnu

Random-access memory
Random-access memory (
RAM ) is a form of
computer data storage. A random-access memory device allows
data items to be accessed (
read or written) in almost the same amount of time irrespective of the physical location of data inside the memory. In contrast, with other direct-access data storage media such as
hard disks,
CD-RWs,
DVD-RWs and the older
drum memory, the time required to read and write data items varies significantly depending on their physical locations on the recording medium, due to mechanical limitations such as media rotation speeds and arm movement.
RealAudio
RealAudio is a
proprietary audio format developed by
RealNetworks and first released in April 1995. It uses a variety of
audio codecs, ranging from low-bitrate formats that can be used over dialup modems, to high-fidelity formats for music. It can also be used as a
streaming audio format, that is played at the same time as it is downloaded. In the past, many
internet radio stations used RealAudio to stream their programming over the internet in real time. In recent years, however, the format has become less common and has given way to more popular audio formats. RealAudio was heavily used by the
BBC websites until 2009, though it was discontinued due to its declining use.
BBC World Service, the last of the BBC websites to use RealAudio, discontinued its usage in March 2011.
