(ש"ע) מגבר (של עוצמת קול)

מגבר הוא כל מתקן העושה שימוש בכמות קטנה של אנרגיה לשליטה על מקור אנרגיה גדול יותר. כיום המונח משמש בעיקר לתיאור מגבר חשמלי, אך ישנם גם מגברים המבוססים על אנרגיות אחרות, כגון מגברים מגנטים ומגברי אור.
