אלפבית הוא אוסף סדור של אותיות, שהן סימנים גרפיים המייצגים עיצורים ותנועות. הכתב מורכב מאותיות המשמשות לכתיבת כל המילים הקיימות בשפה מסוימת, שיכולה להיות שפה טבעית או מלאכותית.
