פטריארך (מיוונית, פטרארכון: πάτερ, אב; άρχων, מנהיג; בעברית: אב) הוא תואר הניתן לאבי משפחה מורחבת. בנצרות, בכנסייה היוונית-אורתודוקסית, הכנסייה המזרחית, הכנסייה הקתולית הכנסייה הארמנית והכנסייה האשורית המזרחית, משמעות המונח היא הבישוף הבכיר ביותר. הפטריארך שולט בשטח הנקרא פטריארכיה. היסטורית, פטריארכים היו לעתים קרובות גם אתנרכונים, אנשי הדת הבכירים ביותר במדינה או ארץ מסוימת, אך אין הדבר כך בכל זרמי הנצרות. בכנסיות האוריינטליות הפטריארך הוא עצמו האפיפיור; בכנסייה המורמונית פטריארך הוא המקביל לכומר.
