סין (סינית מפושטת: 中国, סינית מסורתית: 中國, פין-יין: ), היא ישות תרבותית וגאוגרפית בת אלפי שנים במזרח אסיה. סין היא אחת מן העתיקות שבתרבויות העולם, עם מורשת רציפה בת אלפי שנים. מלחמת האזרחים הסינית פיצלה ארץ זו לשתי ישויות פוליטיות הנושאות את השם "סין" וטוענות לחזקה על אותו השטח בקירוב: האחת היא הרפובליקה העממית של סין, השולטת על שטחה היבשתי של סין וכן הונג קונג ומקאו; והשנייה היא הרפובליקה הסינית השולטת על האי טאיוואן וסביבותיו, ולכן מוכרת גם בשם זה.

הכתב הסיני הוא צורת הכתב העתיקה ביותר, הנמצאת בשימוש רציף. סין העתיקה גם תרמה לעולם כמה מן ההמצאות החשובות ביותר ובהן המצפן, הנייר, אבק השרפה והדפוס.
