וגה

וגה הוא הכוכב הבהיר ביותר בקבוצת הכוכבים נבל והוא גם הכוכב החמישי בבהירותו בשמים והשני בבהירותו בשמי הצפון (אחרי ארקטורוס). וגה הוא אחד מהכוכבים הבולטים בלילות הקיץ ומהווה את אחד מקודקודיו של משולש הקיץ. כאשר נקבע סולם הבהירות של הכוכבים בשנת 1856 הוא הוגדר כך שבהירותו של וגה תהיה מדרגה 0.0, אך כיום, בעקבות מדידות מדויקות של עוצמת ההארה, התברר כי הבהירות האמיתית היא 0.03.

Vega (a Lyr, a Lyrae, Alpha Lyrae) is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, the fifth brightest star in the night sky and the second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere, after Arcturus. It is a relatively close star at only 25 light-years from Earth, and, together with Arcturus and Sirius, one of the most luminous stars in the Sun's neighborhood.
