בכימיה אי-אורגנית חנקה (אנגלית: Nitrate) היא המלח של חומצה חנקתית עם יון המורכב מאטום חנקן אחד ושלושה אטומי חמצן (NO₃⁻). בכימיה אורגנית האסטרים של חומצה חנקתית וכוהלים שונים נקראים חנקות (nitrates). לחנקות יש חשיבות בתהליכים ביוכימיים שונים המתרחשים בגוף, אך במקרים מסוימים הם עשויים להגיב וליצור חומרים קרצינוגניים.

אחד השימושים של חנקה הוא בתור חומר חיטוי בשירותים כימיים.
