האכאים (ביוונית: Aχαιοί) הוא השם הכללי שניתן לכוחות היווניים באיליאדה ובאודיסיאה של הומרוס (הומרוס השתמש בשם זה 598 פעמים באיליאדה). שמות חלופיים באיליאדה הם הדנאים (Δαναοί; בשם זה השתמש 138 פעמים) והאַרְגֵּאִים (; בשם זה נעשו 29 שימושים). ה"ארגאים" הוא שם פוליטי, שנלקח משמה של בירת האכאים - ארגוס. ה"דנאים" הוא השם שניתן לשבט ששלט בפלופונסוס ובאזור שמסביב לארגוס. ה"אכאים" הוא השם של השבט ששלט לראשונה בשטחי יוון, וחי מסביב לבירתו - מיקנה.
