סינקרטיזם (מיוונית συγκρητισμός - סינקרטיסמוס "איחוד קהילות") הוא מונח המתאר ניסיון ליישב בין אמונות שונות ואפילו מנוגדות על מנת ליצור מיזוג בין האסכולות השונות. השימוש במונח זה רווח בייחוד בקשר לניסיון למזג וליצור אנלוגיות בין כמה מסורות שבמקורן נוצרו במקומות שונים, בעיקר בתאולוגיה ובמיתולוגיה של דת, ובכך לטעון לקיומו של בסיס משותף. דוגמה מודרנית לסינקרטיזם אפשר לראות בדת הקנדומבלה בברזיל בעלת הסממנים הפגאניים שמקורה אפריקני, אבל מאמיניה רואים עצמם גם כנוצרים קתולים לכל דבר.

אלכסנדר הגדול ניסה ליצור דת ממוזגת, הדת ההלניסטית. המיזוג התבטא בשילוב בין הדת היוונית לדתות המזרח כמו במציאת קווי דמיון בין משפחות האלים והתכונות של מרכיביהם . כך יצא שהתפתחו זהויות מהותיות וחיצוניות בין אלי יוון ודמויות מן המיתולוגיה היוונית לבין אלו שבמזרח.

סינקרטיזם, מונח לציון מיזוגם של הפולחנים הדתיים בעולם היווני-רומי.
על פי רוב היה זה תהליך ספונטני, ואולם היו פולחנים שמוזגו בהתערבות המימשל, כגון בפולחן האל סרפיס. כמעט אין דת בלא השפעות סינקרטיסטיות.
