ריין (בגרמנית: Rhein, בצרפתית: Rhin, בהולנדית: Rijn) הוא נהר שאורכו 1,233 קילומטר (הנהר הארוך במערב אירופה) אשר מקורותיו בהרי האלפים בדרום שווייץ ובצפון איטליה והוא זורם צפונה דרך אגם קונסטנץ, גרמניה והולנד עד שנשפך ל. יובליו העיקריים של הריין הם הנהרות ארה, נקר, מיין ומוזל; והוא מחולק באופן מסורתי לריין הגבוה (Hochrhein) עד בזל, הריין העילי (Oberrhein) עד בינגן, הריין המרכזי (Mittelrhein) עד בון, ולריין התחתי (Niederrhein).

משמעות השם ריין היא "זה אשר זורם" ומקורו בשורש הקלטי "reie" שמשמעותו להזיז, לזרום, לשטוף ולרוץ.
