In its last on-air format, KRIL (1410 AM), was branded as "Real Country 1410 KRIL". The station radio station served the Midland–Odessa metropolitan area with classic country music, and it was under ownership of Townsquare Media.

Krill are small crustaceans of the order Euphausiacea, and are found in all the world's oceans. The name krill comes from the Norwegian word , meaning "small fry of fish", which is also often attributed to other species of fish.
