(ת') חסר-חוליות

חסרי חוליות הוא שם כולל (למעשה נטול משמעות טקסונומית) של כל מערכות בעלי החיים האאוקריוטים (מורכבים מתאים בעלי גרעין), שהם נטולי עמוד תמיכה גבי, כגון חרקים, סרטנים, רכיכות ואלמוגים. אפילו לחלק מהמיתרניים אין עמוד שדרה כך שהם נחשבים חסרי חוליות. הקבוצה כוללת 97% מכלל המינים בממלכת בעלי חיים. 75% מהמינים בקבוצה זו משתייכים למערכת פרוקי הרגליים.

לרוב חסרי החוליות אין מערכת דם סגורה.
