Integrated Digital Enhanced Network

(Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN היא טכנולוגיה לתקשורת אלחוטית ניידת, אשר פותחה על ידי מוטורולה, ואשר מאפשרת שילוב תכונות של מכשיר קשר (PTT) ושל טלפון סלולרי. iDEN משתמשת בטכנולוגיה של ריבוב זמן (Time Division Multiple Access - TDMA). טכנולוגית iDen מנצלת עד ששה ערוצי תקשורת ברוחב פס של 25KHz.

בישראל, HOT mobile היא ספקית התקשורת הסלולרית היחידה המשתמשת בטכנולוגיה זו. מלבד ישראל, הטכנולוגיה נמצאת בשימוש בארצות הברית (ספרינט/נקסטל וכן SouthernLINC), בקנדה, מקסיקו, ברזיל, ירדן, הפיליפינים, סינגפור, דרום קוריאה, ערב הסעודית, יפן, אל סלוודור, וסין. למירס הסכמי נדידה (Roaming) עם מרבית המדינות הללו.

טכנולוגית iDEN משתמשת בתשתית תקשורת מבוססת IP, עבור רשת הקשר ותקשורת הנתונים. לשם כך כל מכשיר המחובר לרשת מקבל כתובת IP קבועה, ונמצא בחיבור מתמיד לרשת התקשורת - מיתוג מנות, להבדיל ממיתוג מעגלים הדורש "חיוג" ממודם למודם על גבי רשת ה- Voice על מנת להתחבר לרשת נתונים.

IDEN
Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) is a mobile telecommunications technology, developed by Motorola, which provides its users the benefits of a trunked radio and a cellular telephone. It was called the first mobile social network by many technology industry analysts. iDEN places more users in a given spectral space, compared to analog cellular and two-way radio systems, by using speech compression and time division multiple access (TDMA).

Iden
The Iden was an English automobile manufactured from 1904 until 1907. Designed by George Iden, formerly of Daimler, they were four-cylinder 10/17 hp and 25/35 hp shaft-driven cars; each came with "Idens's frictionless radial gearbox".
