היררכיה

היררכיה (מדרג) היא מערכת של דירוג וארגון. היררכיות הן משני סוגים:
  • אלה שבהם השלבים העליונים הם "עליונים על" התחתונים באופן כלשהו. דוגמה: המבנה הארגוני של חברה מסחרית: המנכ"ל הוא מעל למנהלים המחלקתיים, והם מעל לראשי הצוותים שהם מעל לעובדים הרגילים.
  • אלה שבהם השלבים התחתונים "כלולים" בעליונים באופן כלשהו. דוגמה: מיון של בעלי חיים: "ציפורים" כולל את "ציפורי טרף", שכולל "נשרים", שכולל "נשר קירח".
