(ש"ע) דקר (דג מאכל)

דַּקָּר (שם מדעי: Epinephelinae; שם עממי: לוֹקוּס) הוא שם מייצג לתת-משפחה של דגים טורפי על המונה כ-160 מינים. תפוצתו של הדקר משתרעת בימים הטרופיים והסוב-טרופיים. הוא נמצא קרוב לקרקעית ומעדיף אזורים סלעיים ושוניות אלמוגים. כדג מאכל ערכו המסחרי גבוה מאוד וטעמו נחשב מהמשובחים בדגי הים. בשל דיג מסחרי לא מבוקר וספורט דיג באמצעות רובה תת-מימי, חלק ממיני הדקר השונים נמצאים בסכנה.
