גאוגרפיה (מיוונית: γεωγραφία; גאו - אדמה, גרפיה - תיאור) היא תחום מדעי רב-תחומי, המתחלק לשני תחומים עיקריים: גאוגרפיה אנושית החוקרת את הממדים המרחביים של מדעי הרוח ומדעי החברה בתחומים כמו הגירה, קיימות, תכנון ערים, אדריכלות, פסיכולוגיה, מדעים קוגניטיביים, דמוגרפיה, כלכלה, ותרבות, וגאוגרפיה פיזית, ותחום מדעי כדור הארץ, העוסק בתופעות פיזיות שבכדור הארץ, בתחומים כמו גאולוגיה, מטאורולוגיה והידרולוגיה.

הכלי הנפוץ ביותר בגאוגרפיה הוא המפה, המשמשת לרישום, הצגה וניתוח של שלל התופעות - הפיזיות והאנושיות - שעל פני כדור הארץ.
