בלמניטים (שם מדעי: Belemnoidea) היו יצורים ממחלקת סילוניות שחיו בתקופות הקרטיקון והיורה, מלפני 200 מיליון שנים ועד לפני מיליון שנה בקירוב. הם דמו מאוד לתמנון והיו להם זרועות ארוכות וגמישות ועליהן כפתורי מציצה לאיכול הטרף. הם קרובי הדיונונים המודרניים, והיה להם גם כן שק דיו כמו קרוביהם המודרניים, אך שלא כדיונונים - היו להם 10 זרועות. שלדיהם הפנימיים היו גליליים ומחודדים ואורכם הגיע עד 22 ס"מ. בתת-המחלקה היו ארבע סדרות ו-22 משפחות.

קונכיית המין Megateuthis gigantea שנמצא באירופה ואסיה הגיע לגודל של 18 ס"מ, מה שמרמז על אורך של 3 מטרים.
