Skjerstad (sjær`sta) is a village and a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The municipality originally encompassed area on the northern and southern shores in the central part of the large Skjerstadfjorden. The small village of Skjerstad sits at the mouth of the Misværfjorden, where it joins the Skjerstadfjorden. The village is also the location of Skjerstad Church.
