ספקסערבית: صفاقس; תעתיק: צפאקס) היא עיר בתוניסיה, השנייה בגודלה, הממוקמת כ-270 ק"מ דרומית מזרחית לתוניס. העיר, שנוסדה בשנת 849 על חורבות היישובים הרומיים טאפארארה וטאיאנא, היא גם עיר הבירה של מחוז ספקס, וגם עיר נמל ים-תיכונית השוכנת במפרץ גבס. אוכלוסיית העיר מונה 340,000 תושבים (2005), ויש בה מפעל תעשייתי לעיבוד פוספט. העיר נחשבת לעיר השנייה בגודלה, כיוון שרק בתוניס יש יותר תושבים.

במאה ה-12 נכבשה ספקס על ידי הנורמנים, ובמאה ה-16 כבשו אותה הספרדים. בימי מלחמת העולם השנייה התבצרו הגרמנים בעיר, והיא הופצצה רבות על ידי מטוסי ארצות הברית, עד שהגרמנים פינוה והבריטים נכנסו לתוכה, בשנת 1943.

Sfax
Sfax ( ; ) is a city in Tunisia, located southeast of Tunis. The city, founded in AD 849 on the ruins of Taparura and Thaenae, is the capital of the Sfax Governorate (about 860,000 inhabitants in 2005), and a Mediterranean port. Sfax has a population of 340,000 (2005 estimate). The main economic activities of Sfax are industries (phosphate processing), agriculture (olive and olive oil, nuts), fishing (largest fishing port in Tunisia) and trade (import-export). The city is often described as Tunisia's "second city" (after the capital Tunis).
