אַ-רִיַאדערבית: الرياض; תעתיק מדויק: אלריאץֿ - הגַּנִּים) היא בירתה של ממלכת ערב הסעודית והעיר הגדולה ביותר בתחומה. העיר ממוקמת על שטח מישורי באזור נג'ד שבמרכז חצי האי ערב, בנווה מדבר המרוחק כ-390 ק"מ מהמפרץ הפרסי. כ-4,260,000 בני אדם מתגוררים בעיר ומהווים כ-17% מאוכלוסיית ערב הסעודית. ריאד מכסה שטח של כ-1,554 קמ"ר.

העיר ממוקמת במחוז א-ריאד, הכולל גם את הערים בורידה ואל-חארג', והיא האזור המפותח היחיד במרכז הממלכה. יתר ריכוזי האוכלוסייה שוכנים באזורי החוף - סביב ג'דה ומכה לחוף ים סוף, וסביב דהרן לחוף המפרץ הפרסי.

Riyadh (/rɨˈjɑːd/; Arabic: الرياض ar-Riyāḍ Najdi pronunciation: , is the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia. It is also the capital of Riyadh Province, and belongs to the historical regions of Najd and Al-Yamama. It is situated in the center of the Arabian Peninsula on a large plateau, and is home to 5.7 million people, and the urban centre of a region with a population of close to 7.3 million people.
