מנדרינית תקנית

מנדרינית תקנית היא שפה המשתייכת מבחינה בלשנית לקבוצת השפות הסיניות (כמו קנטונזית, הַאקּה) בתוך משפחת השפות הסינו-טיבטיות. המנדרינית התקנית היא לשונה המדוברת הרשמית של סין (הרפובליקה העממית של סין) ושל טאיוואן (הרפובליקה הסינית). כמו כן היא מהווה אחת מארבע הלשונות הרשמיות של סינגפור. המנדרינית נכתבת בכתב הסיני, הן המסורתי והן המפושט.

המנדרינית התקנית מבוססת על הניב הבייג'ינגי של מנדרינית, שהיא בתורה קבוצת ניבים סיניים המדוברים ברחבי צפון סין ודרום מערבה. בשימוש יומיומי מכונה המנדרינית התקנית פשוט "מנדרינית", אך עם זאת יש להבחין בינה לבין קבוצת הניבים עליה היא מבוססת. הבחנה זו תאומץ בהמשך הערך כדי למנוע בלבול.

Standard Chinese, also known as Modern Standard Mandarin and Putonghua, sometimes simply referred to as "Mandarin", is a standard language that is the sole official language of both China and Taiwan, and also one of the four official languages of Singapore. The pronunciation of the standard is based on the Beijing dialect, its vocabulary is drawn from Mandarin dialects, and the grammar is based on literature in the modern written vernacular.
