הנצרות הפרוטסטנטית היא שם כולל למספר גדול של כנסיות המהוות ביחד את אחד מהזרמים העיקריים בנצרות. הן חולקות שורה של עקרונות יסוד רופפים ושורשי רובן בתפיסות שהתפתחו ב של המאה ה-16, שמנהיגיה מרטין לותר וז'אן קלווין יצאו נגד הכנסייה הקתולית והאפיפיור. המשותף להן הוא שלילת האפשרות לגאולה באמצעות מעשים טובים והדגשת האמונה כאמצעי היחיד לכך, ביסוס הנוהג הדתי על כתבי הקודש לבדם ולא על מסורת הכנסייה, וסירוב להכיר בייחוד כלשהו של מעמד הכמורה על פני יתר המאמינים. הפרוטסטנטים דוחים גם את פולחן הקדושים והבתולה ושוללים את האמונה בטרנסובסטנציאציה כפי שהיא מקובלת בנצרות הקתולית. מלבד זאת, קיים מגוון אדיר של תפישות ואמונות בקרב הפלגים הפרוטסטנטיים השונים, החלוקים ביניהם לגבי הפרשנות של יסודות אלה כמו גם היבטים אחרים. הם נעדרי כל מסגרת ארגונית אחידה, וקיימות אלפי כנסיות פרוטסטנטיות שונות. הגדולות והמשפיעות כוללות את הלותרנים, הקלוויניסטים, האוונגליסטים, המתודיסטים ועוד. כמו כן ישנה הכנסייה האנגליקנית, השוללת את האפיפיור אך קרובה בהרבה לקתוליות. מספרם של כלל המאמינים הפרוטסטנטים נאמד בכ-800 מיליון איש.

Protestantism is a form of Christian faith and practice which originated with the Protestant Reformation, a movement against what its followers considered to be errors in the Roman Catholic Church. It is one of the three major divisions of Christendom, together with Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. Anglicanism is sometimes considered to be independent from Protestantism. The term derives from the letter of protestation from Lutheran princes in 1529 against an edict condemning the teachings of Martin Luther as heretical.
