מרקסיזם היא תאוריה כלכלית-חברתית המבוססת על הגותו של הפילוסוף קרל מרקס. תאוריה זו הייתה התאוריה הראשונה בתחום המטריאליזם הדיאלקטי ואחת מבין כמה תאוריות סוציאליסטיות שהתגבשו באמצע המאה ה-19. עיקרי התאוריה פורסמו בשנת 1848 על ידי קרל מרקס ופרידריך אנגלס, במניפסט הקומוניסטי.
