Kutaisi (; ancient names: Aea/Aia, Kotais, Kutatisi, Kutaïsi) is the legislative capital of Georgia, and its second largest city, after the capital Tbilisi. Situated west of Tbilisi, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti.
