Inga (common name shimbillo) is a genus of small tropical, tough-leaved, nitrogen-fixing trees and shrubs, subfamily Mimosoideae. Ingas leaves are pinnate, and flowers are generally white. Many of the hundreds of species are used ornamentally.

Ingá is one of the 48 administrative districts in which the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil is divided. It lies in the southern zone of the city, in coast of the Guanabara Bay. It is named after ingá, a Brazilian native tree whose name is of Tupi origin.
