Hamamelididae
Hamamelididae is an obsolete botanical name at the rank of subclass. Because some hamamelidid members are bearing aments (i.e.catkins), this suclass has been formerly known as Amentiferae. Based on molecular phylogeny works, Hamamelididae appears to be a polyphyletic group.
