Grøa is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the river Driva and along the Norwegian National Road 70, about east of Sunndalsøra and about east of Hoelsand. The Vinnufossen waterfall lies about west of the village.

The chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that was previously called GRO1 oncogene, GROa, KC, neutrophil-activating protein 3 (NAP-3) and melanoma growth stimulating activity, alpha (MSGA-a). In humans, this protein is encoded by the CXCL1 gene.
