It is located on the southern shore of the Sognefjorden, just west of where the Aurlandsfjorden joins the Sognefjorden. Fresvik sits about south of Leikanger-Hermansverk, about east of the municipal center of Vikøyri, and about southeast of the village of Feios. The population (2001) of Fresvik is approximately 275.
