קאנופוס

קַאנוֹפּוּס הוא כוכב על-ענק, השני בבהירותו בשמים, והוא הכוכב הבהיר בקבוצת שדרית (Carina), אשר פורקה באסטרונומיה המודרנית מהקבוצה העתיקה הספינה ארגו. הכוכב קאנופוס ניתן לצפיה בישראל בחורף מעל האופק הדרומי. אם כי לא ניתן לראות מישראל את הקבוצה שדרית כולה.
