Brahmarshi
In Hinduism, a Brahmarshi (Sanskrit , a tatpurusha compound of and ) is a member of the highest class of Rishis ("seers" or "sages"), especially those credited with the composition of the hymns collected in the Rigveda. A Brahmarshi is a sage who has understood the meaning of Brahman or has attained the highest divine knowledge Brahmajnana.

Brahmarshi or Brahma-rishi, Brahmarsi (Sanskrit) [from Brahman + rishi sage] A class of sages, commonly regarded as being of the Brahmanical or priestly class and associated with the prajapatis or mind-born sons of Brahma. Strictly speaking, the "descendants of those Rishis who were the founders of gotras of Brahmans, or caste-races" (SD 2:502). Used interchangeably with prajapati.
