Athen
Athen (meaning Athens in several languages, including German, Norwegian and Danish) is the name of two German merchant ships:
  • SS Athen (1893), German merchant ship lost off Portland Bill in the English Channel in 1906, and now a dive site
  • SS Athen (1936), German merchant ship that survived the attack that sank the SS Cap Arcona in 1945; afterwards registered in the USSR as the General Brusilow and from 1947 in Poland as the Warynski.

Athenaeus
Athenaeus of Naucratis (; or Nαυκράτιος, Athēnaios Naukratitēs or Naukratios; ) was a Greek rhetorician and grammarian, flourishing about the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd century AD. The Suda says only that he lived in the times of Marcus Aurelius, but the contempt with which he speaks of Commodus, who died in 192, shows that he survived that emperor.
