Astyanax
In Greek mythology, Astyanax (; Astyánax, "protector of the city") was the son of Hector, Crown Prince of Troy and Princess Andromache of Cilician Thebe. His birth name was Scamandrius (in Greek Σκαμάνδριος or Σκάμανδρος, after the river Scamander), but the people of Troy nicknamed him Astyanax (i.e. high king, or overlord of the city), because he was the son of the city's great defender (Iliad VI, 403) and the heir apparent's firstborn son.

Astyanax
[Greek heroic] Astyanax was the son of Hector and Andromache, and therefore the eldest grandson of Priam. He died only a baby during the fall of Troy, when the son of Achilles, Neoptolemus, threw him over the wall of Troy. Neoptolemus said to Andromache, "Since my father killed his father he might try to avenge the death. He also could become King of Troy, and we want no more kings of Troy!"
