ארובה (בהולנדית: Aruba) היא טריטוריה הולנדית ששוכנת על אי ב, 27 קילומטר מצפון לחצי האי פרגוואנה (Paraguaná) שבוונצואלה. האי שייך לקבוצת איי ABC (ארובה, בונייר וקורסאו) באנטילים הקטנים. בטריטוריה חיים כ-120,000 תושבים על כ-193 קילומטר רבוע. יחסית ליתר הקריבים, האי יבש ובו פחות צמחייה טרופית. בירת ארובה היא אורנייסטאד (Oranjestad). האי מישורי ברובו ואקלימו טרופי ימי, חם ולח בכל עונות השנה.

Aruba
Aruba ( ; ) is an island country in the southern Caribbean Sea, located about west of the main part of the Lesser Antilles and north of the coast of Venezuela. It measures long from its northwestern to its southeastern end and across at its widest point. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba forms a group referred to as the ABC islands. Collectively, Aruba and the other Dutch islands in the Caribbean are often called the Dutch Caribbean.

Background
Discovered and claimed for Spain in 1499, Aruba was acquired by the Dutch in 1636. The island's economy has been dominated by three main industries. A 19th century gold rush was followed by prosperity brought on by the opening in 1924 of an oil refinery. The last decades of the 20th century saw a boom in the tourism industry. Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986 and became a separate, autonomous member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Movement toward full independence was halted at Aruba's request in 1990.
