תרד (שם מדעי: Spinacia oleracea) הוא צמח חד שנתי בעל עלים ירוקים המשמש למאכל ולרפואה. מקור הצמח הוא ממרכז אסיה והוא גדל באזורים ממוזגים וגם בישראל. לתרד שלושה זנים עיקריים המסווגים על פי סוג העלים. טעמם של העלים וההרכב התזונתי שלהם משתנים לפי עונות השנה.
