צילום הוא פעולה היוצרת תצלום באמצעות הטבעת דפוס האור על גבי רכיב רגיש לאור כגון סרט צילום או חיישן באמצעות חשיפה מתוזמנת. הפעולה נעשית באמצעות מכשירים מכניים, כימיים או דיגיטליים המשמשים כמצלמות.
