monochromatic – מילון אנגלי-אנגלי
monochromatic
adj.
of one color; of one wavelength
Monochrome
Monochrome describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or
values of one color. A monochromatic object or image reflects colors in shades of limited
colors or
hues. Images using only shades of grey (with or without black and/or white) are called
grayscale or
black-and-white. However, scientifically speaking,
monochromatic light refers to visible light of a narrow band of wavelengths (see
spectral color).

About
monochromatic
In optics, pertaining to a single
wavelength of
electromagnetic radiation or to a single color.
Note: In practice, optical radiation is never perfectly monochromatic,
i.e. , it never consists of only one wavelength. It always has a finite
spectral width, albeit narrow.
