Persian Satrap, who enjoyed the status of king or
dynast by virtue of the powerful position created by his father Hecatomnus who had succeeded the assassinated Persian Satrap
Tissaphernes in the Carian satrapy and founded the hereditary dynasty of the
Hecatomnids.
