CD8 (אשכול התמיינות 8, אנגלית: cluster of differentiation 8) הוא גליקופרוטאין (חלבון בעל שארים סוכריים) המשמש כקו-רצפטור ל- TCR, ומוצג על פני תאי T צטוטוקסיים. החלבון מורכב משתי שרשראות חלבונים- α ו β שניהם ממשפחת על של אימונוגלובולינים (immunoglobulin superfamily). מולקולת CD8 נקשרת לדמיין 3α של חלבון MHC סוג 1, קשר זה שומר על הקשר שבין תא T ציטוטוקסיים לתא המטרה המיועד להרג או תא מציג אנטיגן מקצועי (בייחוד תא דנדריטי). CD8 נמצא גם על תאים דנדריטיים ועל תאי NK, אם כי הוא פחות נפוץ עליהם.

CD8

CD8 (cluster of differentiation 8) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR). Like the TCR, CD8 binds to a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecule, but is specific for the class I MHC protein. There are two isoforms of the protein, alpha and beta, each encoded by a different gene. In humans, both genes are located on chromosome 2 in position 2p12.
