בוספורוס (טורקית: Boğaziçi או İstanbul Boğazı, "מצר איסטנבול") הוא מצר ים המפריד בין החלק האירופי של טורקיה, רוּמֶלִי, לחלקה האסיאתי, אָנָדוֹלוּ. הבוספורוס מחבר בין ים מרמרה לים השחור. אורך המצר כ-30 קילומטר, רוחבו המרבי 3,700 מטר (בכניסה הצפונית) ורוחבו המינימלי 750 מטר (בין המצודות אנדולוהיסרי ורומליהיסרי). העומק במרכז המצר נע בין 36 ל-124 מטרים.

חופי המצר מאוכלסים בצפיפות, שכן העיר איסטנבול (שאוכלוסייתה מונה יותר מ-11 מיליון נפש) שוכנת משתי גדותיו.

Bosphorus
The Bosphorus or Bosporus (; , Bósporos; ) is a natural strait and internationally-significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey that forms part of the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, and separates Asian Turkey from European Turkey. The world's narrowest strait used for international navigation, the Bosporus connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, and, by extension via the Dardanelles, the Aegean and  Mediterranean Seas.
